BVI Chamber of Commerce and Hotel Association (BVICCHA) in partnership with HireBVI are rolling out a complement of training workshops starting in February 2023. This partnership aligns well with the BVICCHA’s mission to provide resources to educate and equip business owners for their success and growth as the backbone of the economy.

The workshops will focus on developing business skills such as starting up a business, marketing and human resources management. There will be a series of five (5) workshops hosted per quarter. The workshops will be facilitated by business leaders and/ or trade associations of the Virgin Islands.

Mrs. Shaina Smith-Archer, Chairman of the BVICCHA Board shared that “The Chamber is committed to supporting businesses in the BVI through strategic partnerships like this one and we look forward to providing more resources for new and experienced business owners to benefit from.”

Ms. Rekeema Turnbull-Caines, Managing Director of HireBVI said, "This is an exceptional opportunity for business owners to develop their entrepreneurship skills while networking. We are excited about this venture. Collectively we are able to build a successful BVI.”

The first workshop’s topic is Small Business & Financial Management, and it will be on 1st February 2023 at HireBVI's training room in Fish Bay, Tortola. The facilitators will be members of the BVI Association of Professional Accountants (BVI APA) and the topics are small business accounting basics, budgeting, compliance w/ business-related regulations, and tips on best financial management practices.

Registration started on 2nd January 2023 with Early Bird Registration until 13th January at BVICCHA Member rate of $100.00, Non-Member rate of $125.00. Regular Registration is $125 for BVICCHA Members and $150 for Non-members and payment due by 25th January 2022.
